The Christ Community Church (CCC) Mission’s team from Taunton, Massachusetts had an amazing week at the Luz de Vida transitional home! They worked incredibly hard and went above and beyond. They carried bricks and buckets of water, mixed cement, and laid bricks to build a room for the “Mujeres Virtuosas” project in Huanchaco. They also had a great time with the youth throughout the week. The team enjoyed spending three afternoons/evenings going through a Bible study with the youth called “Multiply” (by Francis Chan). It was exciting to see the youth engaged in the study and hear them share their thoughts with everyone. A few them are already thinking of ways to reach out to their own communities. The team also enjoyed going on some outings with the youth and having meals together. It was also great to have one of the teenagers, Angel, join with the team to build a storage unit on the roof of the transitional home. The team also assisted with running a Vacation Bible School at a new church plant about twenty minutes outside of Trujillo. They helped put a tarp on the roof of the church’s classroom. They also spent a morning at local orphanage and community center painting a wall and doing activities with the children. It was a busy week, but everyone had a great time and they can’t wait to come back! Thank you CCC for your support and generosity!!
