The staff at the transitional home (Luz de Vida) are spending two mornings a week in a small village near Huanchaco, Peru. They are working with low-income women to assist them in learning various skills that they can use to care for their families. The staff recently discovered that the women wanted to learn how to cook. The women have begun meeting every Monday and Friday for a devotional and cooking class. The women learned how to make “Arroz con Pollo” and the children, of course, enjoyed sampling the food too! Currently, we are borrowing a portable stove for the classes, but we are in need of our own stove. The cost to purchase a new stove is 150 dollars. If you are interested in helping with the purchase of the stove, please click the donation button on the right or email for more information info@corazondeespernaza.org.
