Nolberta Luz Flores Maldonado is the newest addition to our youth transitional home, Luz de Vida. She arrived Monday, October 14 to welcoming arms and a home full of love. For the last four years, she has lived at Hogar Niño Divino Corazón, an all girls orphanage in Trujillo. While at the orphanage, she completed studies in Hospitality and Tourism at the pre-university, Max Planck. She is looking forward to continuing her education at one of the Universities in Trujillo.
Luz is very excited to be at her new home, but she is also a little nervous and says she will miss a lot of her friends at the orphanage. She is somewhat shy and quiet, but very, very sweet. She is very thankful for the opportunities living at Luz de Vida will provide for her.
Luz is eighteen years old, and her birthday is July 16. Her favorite food is ceviche and arroz chifa. She also likes to bake cakes and bread. Her favorite cake is Torte helada, a Peruvian creation consisting of three layers: gelatin, flan, and cake.
